Thanks to a growing number of initiatives focusing on the transition to green energy sources and electrification, we now see that it is entirely technologically possible to replace diesel engines with battery-powered electric motors. Not only is it technologically possible to replace diesel engines with battery-powered electric motors but in Denmark alone, 30 ferry routes are found to be MORE profitable with electric propulsion compared to diesel.
