VANCOUVER; 5 December 2023: Marine and industrial energy storage expert Shift Clean Energy (Shift) has announced that they have successfully obtained full certification from esteemed classification societies RINA, Lloyd’s Register, Korean Register, and ClassNK. This significant achievement highlights Shift’s commitment to ensuring the utmost safety and reliability of its energy storage systems.
As part of the comprehensive certification process, Shift underwent rigorous testing of its 75Ah, 85Ah, 103Ah BBU, MBU, and PBU models. Utilizing their proprietary liquid cooling technology, CellCool, they demonstrated exceptional efficacy in reducing the risk of fire propagation by effectively limiting thermal runaway to a single cell. The system’s resilience in minimizing potential hazards further solidifies its position as a safe and reliable solution for maritime and industrial applications.
