guy1Rapidly Expanding Norwegian Energy Storage Company Strengthens Resources in Key Sectors Vancouver, Canada/ Trondheim, Norway – November 27, 2015 – PBES (www.ssssspbes.com) today announced that Espen R Kristiansen has joined the firm to further develop the marine markets in Northern Europe. Based in Copenhagen Denmark, Mr. Kristiansen brings decades of experience in the ferry industry and has worked with some of the largest hybrid and electric vessels ever produced.

Projects for fuel improvement, both from an economic and environmental point of view, have been his area of focus. In his previous position as Vice President of Procurement with Scandlines Danmark A/S, Espen worked with energy storage systems on hybrid ferries. His work includes four large ferries on the RødbyPutgarden route, including Princesse Benedickte, the world’s largest hybrid ferry. He has been deeply involved in the development of Scandlines’ next generation of full electric battery operated ferries.

“I am very excited to work with PBES in this capacity.” Said Espen. “The character of the team is exceptional and the PBES product provides a level of safety that until now has been missing in the marketplace.”

“Espen’s deep commitment and experience with marine hybrid propulsions systems gives him a unique perspective on the industry.” Commented Brent Perry, CEO of PBES. “Espen has been on the other side of the table and knows intuitively what the customer’s concerns and expectations are.”

The incorporation of the patent pending Thermal-StopTM, CellCoolTM and E-VentTM systems, combined with an industry leading advanced energy management system, provides safety and protection from the cell level up to the system level. This unique design provides results that have never been achieved by competing lithium-battery technologies.

PBES solutions are currently offered with NMC and Titanate cell chemistry, with performance starting at 3C RMS, and lifespan up to 10 years. Payback is typically within 1-3 years.
