  • PBES Appoints Industry Power Generation Expert to Develop Energy Storage Markets

    Canadian/Norwegian energy storage company strengthens resources in key sectors

    In his previous position as engineering manager with Frontier Power Products, Andrew worked with energy storage systems on hybrid RTG cranes and ferries, achieving significant fuel reductions compared to their traditional counterparts.

    VANCOUVER, Dec. 7, 2015 -­‐‑ PBES, a global leader in energy storage for industrial applications, announced today that their CEO Brent Perry has been asked to speak at the United Nations COP21 Climate Conference in Paris. His Presentation, about the future of battery propulsion in commercial marine applications will be given
    at 7:30pm, December 8, 2015 aboard the Race for Water solar powered vessel on the River Seine.

  • PBES Appoints Marine Industry Expert to Develop Energy Storage Markets

    guy1Rapidly Expanding Norwegian Energy Storage Company Strengthens Resources in Key Sectors Vancouver, Canada/ Trondheim, Norway – November 27, 2015 – PBES (www.ssssspbes.com) today announced that Espen R Kristiansen has joined the firm to further develop the marine markets in Northern Europe. Based in Copenhagen Denmark, Mr. Kristiansen brings decades of experience in the ferry industry and has worked with some of the largest hybrid and electric vessels ever produced.

    Projects for fuel improvement, both from an economic and environmental point of view, have been his area of focus. In his previous position as Vice President of Procurement with Scandlines Danmark A/S, Espen worked with energy storage systems on hybrid ferries. His work includes four large ferries on the RødbyPutgarden route, including Princesse Benedickte, the world’s largest hybrid ferry. He has been deeply involved in the development of Scandlines’ next generation of full electric battery operated ferries.
